How Long to Cook Chicken Wings in an Air Fryer (UK Times by Brand)

TEMP
200°C
TIME
10-30 MIN
CORE
75°C

Bone-in (Salter): 22-26 min

75°C for 30 seconds is one of the FSA’s safe core combinations (standard: 70°C for 2 minutes).

Every manufacturer chart that gives a numeric temperature for chicken wings uses 200°C, with times ranging from 10 to 30 minutes. The Fryer Guide lists every brand's exact figure below with its stated amount where the chart gives one, and shows Salter's separate grill-chart figure apart from the main range.

Based on 3 manufacturer sources. Figures last checked 27 September 2026. See the full list of manuals and articles used on this site on the about and methodology page.

What each brand's guide says

Chicken wings: manufacturer source figures

  • Salter (AeroGrill Pro EK5106): Chart row, page 5: Chicken wings 900 g, bone-in wings 200°C 22-26 mins source

Reference figure (separate chart, not blended in above)

Chicken wings: reference-only figure
Brand Temp Time Shake Amount Model Source
Salter not given 10-14 min not stated 900g, bone-in (drumettes and flats), fresh AeroGrill Pro EK5106 Salter Recipe booklet, p.5
What each source actually says
  • Salter (AeroGrill Pro EK5106): Chart row, page 5: Chicken wings (fresh) 900 g HIGH 10-14 mins Flip halfway through cooking source

Salter's grill chart gives a fresh-wings figure with no °C, 10 to 14 minutes on its HIGH setting for 900g, flipped halfway through: a different chart (Salter's Grill chart, with settings rather than °C), so it isn't blended into the range above.

Fresh vs frozen

Salter's grill-chart row is for fresh wings; the other charts don't say whether wings are fresh or frozen, and no source used on this page gives a separate frozen time.

Size and thickness adjustments

Ninja's chart is for 1kg of wings brushed with oil, at 200°C for 27 to 30 minutes. Salter's air fry chart gives 22 to 26 minutes at 200°C for 900g of bone-in wings with 1 tablespoon of oil. Instant's chart, labelled 'Wings/Drumsticks', gives no weight, at 200°C for 10 to 15 minutes.

Browning and doneness

Chicken wings are poultry, so the FSA's guidance for poultry applies: bacteria can be present throughout the meat, so it needs to be cooked all the way through. This site uses 75°C on the readout panel, the FSA's 75°C for 30 seconds figure, one of the combinations equivalent to its main 70°C for 2 minutes standard.

Where brands disagree

Ninja's chart gives 27 to 30 minutes for 1kg, while Instant's gives 10 to 15 minutes with no weight stated, both at 200°C. Salter's bone-in figure of 22 to 26 minutes for 900g sits between the two. The charts don't explain the difference, so check wings are cooked through rather than relying on the shortest time.
