How Long to Cook Fish Fingers in an Air Fryer (UK Times by Brand)

TEMP
180-200°C
TIME

CORE
OPAQUE & FLAKES

The FSA does not give a numeric core temperature for fish on this page; it says fish is done when the flesh turns opaque (no longer transparent) and separates easily with a fork.

Manufacturer charts for frozen fish fingers range from 180 to 200°C for 6 to 20 minutes, a wider spread than most foods on The Fryer Guide. The charts also list different batch sizes, from a handful up to 500g, so each brand's figure is shown below with its stated amount.

Based on 5 manufacturer sources. Figures last checked 27 September 2026. See the full list of manuals and articles used on this site on the about and methodology page.

Fresh vs frozen

All five figures above are for frozen fish fingers, the way they're normally cooked. No source used on this page gives a from-fresh (never-frozen) fish finger time.

Size and thickness adjustments

Ninja's chart is for 10 fish fingers (280g) at 200°C for 15 minutes. Tower's two manuals give different times for similar weights: the T17082 manual gives 6 to 10 minutes for 100 to 500g, and the T17149 manual gives 15 to 20 minutes for 100 to 400g, both at 200°C. Salter gives 11 to 14 minutes for 18 fish fingers at 200°C. Instant's chart gives no weight, at 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes.

Browning and doneness

The FSA does not give a numeric core temperature for fish; it says fish is done when the flesh turns opaque, no longer transparent, and separates easily with a fork. Use that check for fish fingers rather than a thermometer reading.

Where brands disagree

Tower's own two manuals disagree sharply for a similar weight range: the T17082 manual gives 6 to 10 minutes for 100 to 500g, while the T17149 manual gives 15 to 20 minutes for 100 to 400g, both at 200°C. Instant's chart is also the only one below 200°C, at 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes.
