If you have a medium 10-inch frying pan then you can fry up two gammon steaks at once, we've made a step of how to pan-fry gammon steak down below.

  1. Heat two tsp of rapeseed oil in a pan and allow it to heat, place your two gammon steaks in the oil and season generously, bear in mind it is salty meat, however.
  2. Turn the steaks over after 5 minutes and cook on the other side, add a few additional minutes to make sure your steak is cooked all the way through.

How To Oven-Baked Gammon Steaks Recipe

  1. Heat your oven to gas mark 6, oil your steaks with a tsp of rapeseed oil then place them on a baking tray.
  2. Bake for around 8 minutes then flip over and bake for another 8 minutes on the other side.

Ingredients

  • 3 large spoons of oil.
  • Two eggs.
  • One large potato is cut into chips.
  • One tomato cut in half.
  • One gammon steak.

Method

  1. Start by preheating your oven to gas mark 6 then lay down your chips on a baking sheet and drizzle with a spoon of oil with the tomatoes on the sides of the tray.
  2. Bake until your chips are golden brown turning once for around 45 minutes or you could alternatively fry them to speed up the cooking process.
  3. Now heat your medium-size frying pan with a spoon of oil and place your gammon steak on once hot, season well then cook for 7 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the gammon and fry both of your eggs with the remaining oil.
