Tefal understand that for most people, this will be the first time that they have used an air fryer or any kind of fryer and how intimidating that can be. That is why they have put together a free app named 'My Actifry' which can be downloaded on any smart device. This app provides you with 350 + recipes that will allow you to push your cooking boundaries and use your new fryer's unique features and programmes.

How Does This Model Compare To Others In Its Range?
The Actifry Genius XL 2 in 1 is part of Tefal's Actifry range that includes two other models: the Actifry original plus and the Actifry genus XL black. The 2 in 1 is by far the most versatile with more automatic inbuilt programmes and the unique multiple cooking zones. However, is it the most expensive of the three and maybe a bit excessive for your needs.
The Actifry Genius XL black has the exact same capacity as the 2 in 1, 1.7 kg which equals out to roughly 8 portions, and includes the same amount of programmes. It should be noted however that these programmes preset themselves as preset menus rather than automatic programmes so it will take more effort on your part to input the right temperatures and other such details. Of course, the XL black only has one cooking zone and so can not act as a 2 in 1 cooking device.
As for the Actifry original plus, it is the cheapest of the range but it is also the smallest. It only has a 20% larger than average capacity (which is 5 portions) compared to the others 35% larger than average capacity, but this may be the perfect size for your families needs. So if you decide that the 2 in 1 Actifry is not the right one for you then you still have the option of two other Actifrys so that you can make mealtimes a little easier.
